Recent Retiree List (The Ultimate Career Done Well)

Jason Hultgren gave me a copy of the MBAG Gold Award List that SEM participated in for the first time in our history thanks to J. D. Crowe's support.  A great group of mortgage professionals with huge volumes that consistently earn this recognition year after year.  Other than a wonderful MBAG award, are these talented Originators awarded stock in their company or made a Member of their Company's LLC Operating agreement? 

I always ask myself, do they share in the wealth they build for their owners? 
 
Ask yourself these questions:

1. Do you have a path to retire that includes equity in the company you help create?  If you can only rely on what you save from your 30 - 120 bps per deal, you need to re-think how you will retire.

2. Have you worked hard only to start over again when your company sold or left your market?  Did they cut you a check when they sold?

3. If you do not act now to explore a path to retire, what will you do if mortgage delivery channels change before you have saved enough?  The company will benefit but will technology reduce your compensation?

I admire loyalty and friendship (SEM has the longest tenure and tenure of key people in the industry thanks to a Village view of loyalty); however, it is a two way street.  Solidify your family's future longer than a month out. 


Do your Career Right
I would love to see a section in the MBAG Gold Award Brochure that lists the latest retirees and celebrate Careers Done Well....  Everyone has a finite time and a finite market to originate.  Need to plan today!

Go BIG with Great Service and a Great Team... Southeast Mortgage is ready to Set the Bar Even Higher

The Second of two Southeast Mortgage Corporate logo signs were installed at our new Corporate Headquarters and Team Life Balance Center.  The sign should give you an idea of what to expect inside our building.  Wow and Awesome..... 
 
The additional 30,000 square foot space will redefine what employees expect from their company and will set a new standard for putting employees health and Life Balance in the forefront.  The building provides additional capabilities and improves the current best in class service for our partners and clients.  Come out and visit us later this month for our fun grand opening events, CE Class, and Guest Speaker.

I had to share this email. This is why we have been around for so many years.

I wrote an article a few days ago about Money vs. Passion.  The email below answers the question.  I get these emails from time to time and they truly warm my heart not just for me but knowing the great team that makes SEM what it gets the recognition they so deserve.  In the market you hear a few names but reality is the 40+ operations people at SEM Club Drive and their support make SEM what it is and provides the fantastic dependable closings that drive our organic growth.

Below is an actual email from Kim Arrington to Jeff and JD.  Kim is well known in the Atlanta mortgage industry and has worked at Large Banks, Correspondents, and other variations of Lenders.  Kim's background is what makes her statements moving to me since she fully understands what most MLOs at other company's experience and can make an expert comparison.

Our operations team and MLOs work hard to earn client's and when our MLO team realizes how it comes together with all facets of the team harmonizing, I get a beaming sense of pride for the people I have worked with for so many years.  Better than a big check because the memory and relationships last longer.

… I am not being corny or smoozy … though I can be!   Truth is, it does make me cry and smile at the same time, but I have not found this much favor with clients before ???
